my story . my resume

Life beats down and crushes the soul and art reminds you that you have one
— Stella Adler

From Greece to US and from Athens to New York and back again, my journey has been everything but a predictable one.

After earning my Sociology degree from Panteion University in Athens, Greece, I enthusiastically pursued my passion for Acting.

I was truly fortunate to have the opportunity to begin my journey in the craft of acting right in the heart of Athens, Greece, a place that holds such rich historical significance in the world of theater. Surrounded by exceptionally talented and esteemed professionals, my educational experience was enriched by the guidance and mentorship of renowned actors and directors such as Vasilis Diamantopoulos, Giannis Rigas, Andreas Manolikakis, Tassos Bandis, Dimitris Kataleifos, Rania Oikonomidou, Amalia Moutoussi, Kostis Sfyrikidis, Mary Tsouti, and Tapa Sudana, among others. Their expertise and passion for the art form ignited the fire within me, propelling me forward on my transformative acting journey.

In 2000, I had the honor of graduating from one of Greece's most esteemed acting conservatories, the "Acting Conservatory of the Morfes Theatre Company." This institution, renowned for its excellence in theater, included the prestigious "Embros Theatre" as part of its repertoire. It is safe to assert that the Morfes Theatre Company bore striking resemblances to the iconic "Group Theater" of early 1930s New York. Much like its American counterpart, Morfes was a collective of extraordinarily talented and passionate artists who dedicated themselves to producing profoundly authentic and deeply compassionate art. Their commitment to meticulous attention to detail fostered a true sense of collaboration, transforming every performance into a symphony of collective brilliance.

While in NYC, I graduated from a prestigious acting school called Atlantic, which follows the teachings of the renowned  David Mamet and William H. Macy who developed the Practical Aesthetics Technique on acting. I also received further training from Tom Todoroff, who specializes in the acting techniques of Stella Adler and the audition techniques of Michael Shurtleff. Additionally, I honed my voice and speech skills with Susan Cameron, and my signing abilities with Jonathan Hart Makwaia. I developed my on camera technique with Heidi Marshall, Michelle Hurd and Corey Parker at BGB Studio in LA. Like other professional actors, I continuously strive to enhance my craft.

I am genuinely grateful to be a member of prestigious acting organizations such as the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, also known as SAG-AFTRA. Additionally, I am honored to be a part of the distinguished Spotlight community, which consists of professional actors, casting directors, agents, and managers. New York City has been my home and my stage, as I have been fortunate enough to showcase my talent in various mediums including theater, film, radio, and voice over projects since the year 2001. If you are interested in delving into further detail, please feel free to take a look at my comprehensive CV, which is available for your perusal.

In my expansive career spanning more than 25 years, I have had the incredible opportunity to showcase my talents in a diverse range of artistic endeavours. With an impressive repertoire of over 40 theatre shows, films, staged readings, and combined cinematic experiences, my passion for storytelling has truly flourished. Each project has allowed me to delve into different characters, unique narratives, and collaborate with talented individuals who share the same love for the performing arts. With every theatrical production, every film shoot, and every captivating staged reading, I continue to hone my craft and push the boundaries of my creativity.

I love acting, but I also enjoy other creative pursuits. One of my most exciting experiences was starting a theater company. I produced plays, radio shows, music concerts, and short films. I also coached actors and directed performances. Recently, I've been translating plays from Greek to American English and vice versa. I find fulfillment and personal growth in these endeavors, which keeps me dedicated to the artistic world.

Whether I am acting in Theater, Film, or Voice Over, producing, coaching, or translating, my insatiable thirst for creative connections and collaborations never wavers. The very essence of our artistic journey lies in the bonds we forge with like-minded individuals who share our passion and drive. From the delicate dance between actors on stage to the seamless coordination of a film crew, or the harmonious blend of voices in a voiceover project, there is undeniable power in collaboration. Together, we weave the threads of our individual expertise into a tapestry of collective artistry, breathing life into every project we touch.

As an artist, my ultimate goal is to delve into the depths of the human truth, fearlessly exploring and understanding the intricate layers of the human condition. From the innermost reaches of my being, I strive to connect with others on a profound level, be it fellow artists who share the same passion or the audience who craves a soul-stirring experience. In my relentless pursuit of authenticity, I immerse myself in thorough research, seeking to capture the essence of our shared experiences and translate them into compelling expressions of art. With each project I undertake, I am driven by the fervor to forge a meaningful connection, to bridge the gaps that separate us, and to ignite a sense of resonance and understanding within every soul that encounters my work.

Artists profoundly connect diverse people through their creations, evoking emotions and inspiring change in society. Supporting and appreciating their vital role is crucial.

Stories must be told with bravery and truth, unlocking the power to understand humanity. Shedding pretense and embracing truth connects us and touches hearts. Authentic narratives open us up to the human experience, strengths, weaknesses, and desire for connection. Storytelling covers our fundamental needs and weaves empathy and compassion.

Art's purpose is to help us understand our interconnectedness by uniting us through shared experiences and emotions. It reminds us that we are more similar than different, bridging divides and emphasizing our profound impact on each other.

That's what I truly love and feel deeply passionate about!

If you're going that way, let's connect! We can catch up and exchange thoughts on our fields' latest developments. Valuable insights and ideas await us, nurturing our professional growth. By connecting with like-minded individuals, we expand our networks and potentially collaborate on exciting projects. Reach out, let's meet and discuss the possibilities ahead!

What a lovely adventure!

Be well and stay creative!
