Theodora and I began working together back in Spring 2020. In the almost two years we’ve been working together, I’ve gained so many skills to use in my auditions.

Theodora’s excellent grasp of scene analysis has helped me look at a scene in many different ways and confidently shoot different takes. Our coaching sessions have loosened and strengthened my acting muscles and made me more free on camera. She has taken my skills to the next level which have helped me continuously garner auditions with the same casting directors.

Theodora is a well of knowledge, and if one technique doesn’t work for the role, another will. Theodora has brought the best out of me to date, and I highly recommend working with her.

Ι worked with Theodora Loukas at the GABBY AWARDS 2017 at Carnegie Hall where she was the Acting Coach and Director of the opening ceremony.

I was very impressed with her coaching and direction. We had only 2 hours to work the piece and we were about 15 actors meeting for the first time in the room.

Theodora made the impossible possible. She coached each one of us on the character story we brought to rehearsal, focusing on our relationships and circumstances.

We instantly connected to the story individually and as a team. We were given the freedom to improvise and we immediately felt acting from our hearts. We were respected as creatives and were valued for being true to ourselves and our art. We worked as a team seamlessly and bonded immediately.

It was an amazing experience for all of us and the audience who was brought to tears and endless applause. I will never forget this!

Since that first time working with Theodora, I trust her wholeheartedly to coach me on any piece I work on. I always value her direction as it sets me free in my artistic process and makes me feel confident in my choices, liberating my own truth and creativity. I highly recommend her as a coach! She’s absolutely marvelous to work with and makes the actor’s work shine!!!

Professionalism. Poise. Patience.
These are some words that come to mind when I reflect on Theodora Loukas’ direction and coaching for the Gabby awards’ opening number.

Theodora’s understanding of the material and her vast experience on the stage were evident in how she coached me and my fellow actors on stage. She challenged us to find our characters intentions and backstory, regardless of how much we said, or how much time was spent on stage.
I remember vividly the exercises and drills she had us do when we first started to collaborate. Instead of diving right in to the scene at hand, Theodora asked us to walk around the stage and interact with one another, encouraging each of us to find our footing on the stage, as well as with one another without saying one word. This set of warm up exercises led the ensemble to connect on a deeper level during our scene work, allowing us to embrace our vulnerability, physicality and emotional undertones.

Theodora’s grace and commitment to the art shows through in how she conducts her rehearsals and in her connections with the cast. As an actor, I appreciated her openness and patience in allowing me to explore my own inner, resulting in an authentic piece of storytelling.

The last time I worked with Theodora was in my NY stage production of “Good Night Margarita” in 2019, which I also co-directed.
Theodora and I, had previously worked together as actors and I valued her work so much that I decided to consult with her as a coach in my production, in order to most effectively guide the actors in rehearsal, in the limited time I had due to my production responsibilities.

Her help as a coach was invaluable.
As a director, I instantly solidified my communication skills with actors of different backgrounds and the actors joyfully connected to their characters and the story with deepened care. That was of immense help to the play and the production because it shortened the time we spent, on individual actors’ communication and delivery in rehearsals and as directors we could focus more on the storytelling and the big picture.

Whenever I asked Theodora to coach actors and scenes, she was always very respectful to our direction and followed our artistic view, as she helped the actors become freer and more confident with the material and making it their own.

Her impeccable understanding of the text and attention to detail helped us all tremendously!
I feel so blessed to have worked with such a brave and committed coach, who’s insight and craft remarkably advanced our rehearsal process and the success of our production.

We saved so much time!
We have all learned a lot, expanded creatively, had great fun and our play turned to a sold out success!!!

Getting coached by Theodora Loukas really helped me embrace and play with the parts of myself I was holding back.

As an adult actor who speaks English as a second language, I had great results working with her and I really found a safe environment where I could further explore my craft as an actor.

Theodora makes me feel that anything is possible. She creates a safe space help me discover, play and connect to what is on the page.

It was a pleasure to work with Theodora Loukas in the hit show “ The Three Penny Youth”.
Her coaching style was incredibly supportive, empathetic, and productive.

I had the opportunity to play 3 completely different roles in the play.
I had truly hard time in rehearsals with one of the characters I was playing.

After Theodora’s guidance I was able to thrive!!!!
She was able to bring out the different personalities of each character in order for me to enact each role. Initially, I was nervous and insecure about my ability to take on each role.
She gave me the confidence and advice to be able to deliver my performance with authenticity.
I truly appreciated it!
She helped me hone my acting skills and overcome my fears and insecurities.

I truly admire Theodora for her talent, hard work and dedication.
She is an inspiration to all in theater and the performing arts.
